Expat workshop - Hand building

Come and relax in our studio as you get creative and meet new people. We provide all the materials, plus tea/coffee and a biscuit. Handbuilding means shaping the clay manually by either rolling it out, cutting out shapes and joining these together (think gingerbread house - but then a mug), or by squeezing and pinching the clay to give it a new shape. You can also carve into the clay, or use cutters to add shapes to your creation. You can make 2 items during this session. Afterwards, we will fire, glaze, and refire your pieces so that they become real ceramic items. This takes about 2-3 weeks. Your items are now dishwasher-, microwave-, and oven-safe. Making an additional item costs 12,50 per item.
